Hello all, am thinking of buying a FRG7 and would be interested in hearing others thoughts on this receiver. John You don't need digital readout to have an accurate frequency fix. But a digital display makes accurate readings so much easier. The display on a $50.00 Degen DE1103 is far easier to read accurately than the FRG7. The FRG7 was a nice radio when new, and if you are into knob twisting it is still fun to play with. So is a Kenwood R300. In fact those old analog receivers really serve as reminders of how far technology has advanced in the past 30 years. |
