![]() I bought a Sony SW7600GR a month or so ago and two weeks ago I bought the Sony power supply adapter recommended for the radio. Yesterday I unplugged the adapter to check and changing batteries if required, (Ni Cads) and when I re-plugged the adapter into the radio it indicated no battery! I thought that the battery was shot but as soon as I unplug the power adapter the radio will kick right back in. It had me quite puzzled for a bit but then I noticed that there was no metal positive socket on the tip of the adapter plugin. I had plugged and unplugged the adapter several times before with no problem but this last time the positive socket must have remained where it was on the positive pin when the plug was removed. I think that I can see the collar of the positive tip on the positive pin down in the hole but I am not 100% sure. Now the question I want to pose is: Is Sony responsible for getting the old positive tip out of my radio, along with replacing the power supply adapter PS Has anyone ever had this happen to them?? |

Then send back the adapter for a new one. You don't want to send in the radio if you can help it. -- Regards B.H. Brian's Radio Universe http://webpages.charter.net/brianhill/500.htm |
