![]() wrote in message oups.com... For years I have been using a Hustler vertical antenna which I have never been able to get working right. I paid about $100 for it. I kept adjusting and adjusting it, but the damn thing was no better then hanging a wire out of a window. I replaced it with a CondoBuster antenna. I got it on ebay for $20. [snip] What a coincidence! There was another poster at rec.radio.amateur.antenna who told a similiar tale. Well, maybe not another poster, but he also coincidentally posted through google groups!! And, amazingly, his brand name ham antenna also paled in comparision with the $20.00 condobuster!!! And -- who'd have figured -- there's a couple of condobusters up for ebay auction -- RIGHT NOW!!!!!! Surprisingly, both the rraa and the rrs posters neglected to mention the ebayer's shipping price for the condobuster. Or maybe such oversights aren't so surprising, given their parallel giddyness. Well, I'm sure Art Bell won't take all this coincidentalism sitting down. He'll kick Noory out of the chair and devote a full show to the remarkable condobuster coincidences. This might even be Alex Jones material. Frank Dresser |
