Is it normal when using the radio with an AC adapter, that if you unplug
the adapter from the wall outlet with the cable still attached to the radio that the radio still operates? I thought that when connecting the power cable to the radio that the internal batteries are disconnected by the power jack. Thanks |

So, its normal for the radio to stay on even if the adapter is removed
from the wall outlet with the cable still plugged into the power jack? i dont have that particular radio but none of the several different
sangean models that i own have "electronic switching". i cant think of another radio that i have ever used that didnt use mechanical switching on the power jack. if that radio does have this feature then it seems to be of a more advanced design than is common. perhaps other circuits are superior also? you know sony.... better quality, but usually just a little bit odd. |
