I was looking for an older H.F. rig for my pick up truck. I bought an Icom
735 off of Charlie Hugg a couple months or so ago. I hadn't had much time to install it til just a week or so ago. That included testing it as well. Strange, an Icom 735 was what I wanted when getting into Ham - years ago. I finally got one. The unit is in immaculate condition and works like new........ Charlie was honest about it's condition and sent many pictures to verify it. The pictures - those worth a 1000 words as they say - didn't do this radio justice. I seen a post not long ago when Charlie listed some items for sale - someone questioned him on it. In "my" opnion - he is straight up. I'd never be afraid to deal with him again. Most of my items I bought online were acquired in these rooms before they died out. I went to E-Bay like others. BUT I've still not stopped shopping these rooms either. Likewise I sell in these rooms as well but since they have died out - I was forced to go to E-Bay too when sales here didn't work. I would much rather sell straight up. For the record, I've seen other Icom 735s reported to be in "good" condition - scratched all to hell... and selling for as much if not more than what I paid. Charlie is just one example of good guys out there - yet. Lou/ka3flu |
