Default SP50 Programming Question

Thanks to everyone who helped me out with the SP50 RSS...

Now, I have a question.

I sat down to program the SP50, and the software worked like a charm. It
read the codeplug, I made my modifications, but when I hit the almighty F8
to program the codeplug, something weird happened.

It said "ERROR - THE SERIAL NUMBER DOES NOT MATCH THE RADIO"

Now, I've been doing this since 1998, but I've never had this happen to me
before. I never even disconnected the damn thing from the RIB box! Can
anyone offer a suggestion? I tried to clone the radio, but got the same
error message. Batlabs offered a wealth of info on how to hex edit my
codeplug to go out of band and add channels, but nothing on this...

HELP!!!!
