For Auction: KENWOOD TS-940S S/N 6030733. This radio has the following
options installed Automatic Antenna Tuner (ATU), YK-88C1 (8.83 kHz 500 Hz
CW filter), YG-455C-1 (455kHZ 500 Hz CW filter) IF 10B Interface Kit,
operation and service manuals. According to notes found on the manual this
unit was purchased in July 1993. It has had two owners, the second being a
silent key. The radio was in storage for the last two years. I checked the
power output into a dummy load using a Bird wattmeter. The output power was
at least 100 CW watts on all bands except ten meters which was 90 watts. The
sub-display functions were tested and the display is bright and clear. I
also tested the ATU on all bands and it works as stated in the manual. The
front panel has no significant bangs or dings. There are a few light brush
marks which are almost indistinguishable. The only significant signs of wear
on the front panel are the VFO A/B switch and VFO Memory and Memory VFO push
button switches. There is almost no lettering left on the VFO A/B switch and
the O is missing on the VFOM switch and the V is missing on the MVFO switch.
The cabinet is in very good shape with a few rub marks on the bottom right
and top left edges. Again there are no significant bangs or dings on the
