Default Help: Need Info to get back into Ham Satillite Communications

Hi. My club is going to demo Ham Radio and thought I'd set up a
Satillite station. I have all the gear and tracking programs as I used
to do Oscar 10 and 13. Can anyone email me for some interactive info
for getting back into it? I'd like to set up a station to take to our
local county fair to demo. We would like to help get new people
interested in "the hobby of Kings and the King of hobbies.

Tnx & 73's

Check out the AMSAT-NA website. Check to see what birds are active and
what modes to work. I miss AO-13 and AO-10 and AO-40 of course is also
QRT. There are a couple new birds being constructed by AMSAT-NA and
AMSAT-DL.

Make sure your software is Y2K compliant. You might have to settle for
LEO easy sats in the short term. Also word is FO-29 may be active again.
From my experience doing demo's is not easy, but Drew, KO4MA has made an
art of doing sucessful demos at ham fests, you might try contacting him,
check the AMSAT-BB bulletin board for more info.
