The on/off switch in my GE Super Radio (not sure if it is a I or II)

Very common problem. The switch / spring contacts have bent out of shape
over time not allowing the switch to lock in the "on" down position. Unfortunately the switch is sealed within its own housing, but you can remove this housing and bend the contacts back in shape if you're extremely careful. Take the radio apart and you'll see what I mean. Not easy, but it can be done. wrote in message ps.com... The on/off switch in my GE Super Radio (not sure if it is a I or II) is kaput.
