Default FT450

Well looks like Yaesu has made a new tranceiver
Seem like some good thought have gone int this rig at firt glance
Looks like all functions are on the front panel,i like that
xtra ports at the back,including standard RS232 for radio control
be nice to hear some other comments
there is already 2 yahoo groups for the FT450
just my addition for the group

The DSP device that Yaesu is using is a low budget processor, Balckfin
ADSP-BF531, it says they cost $4.95 in quantities of 10kpcs, so I gues
if Yaesu makes at least 10,000 FT-450 they cost just $4.50 each? The
chip does not impress me comapred to some being used in other radios
like IC-7000 and even TS-480's and FT-897/857 radios!

hmmmmmmmmmmm interesting
well at least the dsp is in the if circuit
rather the the audio circuit
do you thing this low budget proccessor will work
at least better in the if rather then the af
