Will someone actually buy this? Probably.
Will it work? Not as advertised... Probably not at all. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=130097520553 |

Actually, it will work and Maxrad sells a commercial version called the MBS.
We have used these to support special projects on our test range and they work great! John "Ed" wrote in message . 192.196... "PowerHouse Communications" wrote in : Will someone actually buy this? Thanks for your input.
I can see where the ones you speak of could possibly help out, however the item in the auction is not the same. While the adapter you speak of has a direct connection to the ground side of the mobile antenna, the auction item does not, as it is meant to hold magnet-mount antennas. I can't see how this would work, as there would be no ground-plain. Sure, there are the fancy rods sticking out, but they aren't grounded to anything, not even the antenna, therefore, in my opinion would do nothing to help the signal. "john" wrote in message ... Actually it probably would help, not that I would purchase something I
could easily build. I refer you to rec.radio.amateur.antenna group for any truly insightful comment. Some there have very large minds, others have large ego's...:-) Chris PowerHouse Communications wrote: Thanks for your input.
