Let me see if I can explain this well enough.

I have 2 MCS2000 Model 1 units. One is a VHF and the other a UHF.

The VHF I purchased off of Ebay in excellent working condition but when I
went to program the unit with the same software as my current UHF unit,
which programs under MCS2000 Windows software Ver: 02.01.00, it would not
work. It would say that the codeplug was too new for this version.

Well, I contacted the seller and he said that he had used Windows MCS
software Ver: 02.02.00 to program said unit. I tried finding the software
and even asked some radio shops in the area and they said that there was no
such Version for the MCS radio.

I contacted the seller again and he sent me the software he used, (I know,
that's a no-no)
But for some reason it would not work. It turned out to be MTSX Ver:
02.02.00 not MCS software. Well, I messed up the radio trying to program it
and so it's useless now. It comes on and there is a back light but it will
not program, key up or anything. Maybe someone can fix it.

The UHF unit is in perfect working order and comes with a remote mounting
kit attached. There is one thing with the remote cable. The guy that had it
before me accidentally cut thru the cable but he repaired it just fine,
looks ugly, but works just fine. On this one the mounting bracket for the
back of the head is missing.

I also have one brand new remote mounting kit that I was going to use with
the VHF unit but since its shot, I'm selling the remote kit by itself.

The Tech special VHF unit I'm asking for $100 obo.

The good UHF unit I'm asking $200 and the remote kit $75. The remote kits go
for around $120 brand new.

Don't be afraid to make an offer on all of it. I may just take it.
