![]() Restored National NC-57B receiver. Electrical condition is excellent, cabinet is good (some paint wear). The two tuning knobs are not original but very close. The 57B differs from the model 57 in that the detected audio is routed to a rear connector to allow use of the Select-O-Ject (not included). The following restoration work was done this year: replaced all capacitors replaced most resistors new speaker and output transformer new tubes (NOS) complete alignment You can see pictures of it he http://www.greenapple.com/~sbertsch/k8zg/boatanchors/ Additional information from the 1948 National catalog: http://www.io.com/~nielw/nat_list/nc57.htm http://www.io.com/~nielw/nat_list/selec.htm http://www.io.com/~nielw/nat_list/SM57.HTM This receiver is quite sensitive, ten feet of antenna wire strung indoors is enough for SW broadcast listening. It was a fun project, but I've got too many projects and not enough room. Asking $125, op/service manual included, local pickup/delivery in Columbus area only. Trades for other cool stuff will be considered. |

You did a nice job there, looks like a keeper. Stick to your price, if it
doesn't sell, post in ebay. If I didn't already have at least a dozen NC57's, I'd take a run at it.... |
