Default FA: Atlas 210X SSB/CW Transceiver w/Blanker RARE Factory VOX + More

I have a near-mint Atlas 210X transceiver for auction on eBay.

The URL with pictures is

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3090708074

and the blurb is

This is an Atlas 210X CW/SSB transceiver with factory noise blanker (this was
an option -- they don't all have it) in "near mint" condition, including the AC
console,
extremely rare VOX accessory for the console (this is NOS and has never been
installed in the console), a mobile mount in good/fair condition, and the
original
manual. I hesitate to use the "M-word" in describing a rig, since "mint" means
something different to almost everyone, but I can say that the front panel,
knobs,
frequency dial, switches, and bezel show absolutely no signs of wear and look
showroom new. The rig has never been mobile, and I am a non-smoker and have
owned it since new. I bought it to use on filed day and did that a couple of
times, but mostly it has been sitting on the shelf lovingly covered in plastic.
The case has some small wear marks on the corners (see pictures), but honestly
I've never seen one of these without those marks, as the case is quite sharp
there and prone to wear during normal use. So cosmetically I would give this a
9.5+, and electrically a 10. Has full output on all bands, receives
beautifully, and when the new owner installs the almost impossible to obtain
VOX kit (factory instructions included) this will make a great full break-in CW
or SSB rig. Simple, small, light, and efficient (uses only 16 amps for full
output as opposed to 20+ for most Asian rigs), this would make a great field
day, mobile, or fixed rig for someone who values American straightforward
design in ham equipment. The console I would rate cosmetically as an 8,
electrically 10. I loaned the console to someone who didn't keep it covered
when not it use so it came back with a bit of "dust wear" and corrosion, but
nothing that has any effect on the operation. The VOX kit includes a new front
panel bezel for the console which when installed will clean up the looks of the
console considerably.

Closes April 18, 2004.

Thank you.
