Why not look at the spec sheet on the manufactures site, they tested it. Just curious, I do see this about once a month or so. Any ideas? I figure if he decided he didn't want it that quickly it must be a piece of junk. Dave |

Kinda' like the eBay stuff that reads: "MINT...9/10 condition, non-smoker,
never mobile. No warranty expressed or implied." "Dave Holford" wrote in message ... Steve wrote: Hi all, I have been looking at some of these newsgroups for a few years now. There seem to be a surprising number of hams like this, (Wealthy?) who buy a new rig, maybe play with it a little bit, then go on to something else. I've been aware of a couple guys like this in my part of the country over the past several years. Ed WB6SAT |

.248... Hi all, I have been looking at some of these newsgroups for a few years now. There is something I don't understand. There seem to be a surprising number of hams like this, (Wealthy?) who buy a new rig, maybe play with it a little bit, then go on to something else. I've been aware of a couple guys like this in my part of the country over the past several years. Ed WB6SAT In my beginning days of Ham radio, there was a guy who would buy H.T.s and mobile rigs for 2 meters. He would try them for about a month. He would get as many reports as he could, and give you his opinion. Good or Junk. Then he would get rid of it to move on to the next. Yes, he sold the "junk" too, as not everyone agreed with him, so obviously, they'd be happy to get "their" choice of radio. I have to say, he influenced my first HT purchase choice. He's now testing radios in radio heaven. Lou |
