Does anyone know if the Yaesu FT-5100 and FT-5200 are the same radio?
I know one has a removable faceplate. I need to know if the basic unit is the same inside. Any ideas where I can find a Service Manual for the FT-5100 specifically? (I've been watching eBay, but no luck). Thanks, John |

John:
The have similarities but are different radios. The FT 5200 ( I own one) has a removable face plate for remote operation and a limited number of memories on each of the two bands. The FT 5100 has more memories and the face plate is fixed. I suggest that you do a Google search for a service manual or go to the Tannenbaum web site. He has lots of manuals listed. Coming up with one or a copy should not be a problem as the radio is only about ten years old. 73's..Dick K7RNZ solid1state wrote: Does anyone know if the Yaesu FT-5100 and FT-5200 are the same radio?
