Default Cursed P1225 UHF for sale.

Have a P1225 UHF 16ch radio for someone with time/energy to make a good
radio.

This radio has a curse. It started life as a regular radio, but then was
recased in a 2-button case. This didn't sit well with the owner,
so a DTMF front was added. Radio worked fine until one day when it became
possessed. It would work ok, but not read/program.
No amount of contact cleaning, etc would help. It was passed to me for
assistance.... I checked it out and it was working fine, so set in on
diagnostics.
It wouldn't read/write.
I took it apart to investigate the problem. Upon laying the front cover
over, one of the speaker leads broke off the speaker. I soldered it back.
then started picking through the board.... well, I find discoloration or
something on the flex connection at the bottom of the board... I take it
loose and a quick
nylon brushing rids the discoloration, etc. I did a quick rub with a pencil
eraser to shine the contacts and put it back together. It didn't come on.
I took it apart, reseated the flex and put it together again.... It worked
fine BUT
still would not read/program. So I took it apart again.... the flex was
checked again, contacts checked, etc. So I put it back together....
It wouldn't come on.... so I took it apart and reseated the flex, etc....
and as I was putting it back together, it took a suicide leap out of my
hands, off my leg and onto the carpet. Again breaking the speaker lead from
the speaker, but also taking with it one of the mic leads and the OTHER
speaker lead.
I laid it out and turned on the iron.... iron didn't work. So I grabbed the
backup, cold heat... batteries dead...
I GAVE UP.

SO.... here is a radio that needs someone with patience... it needs a couple
wires soldered back in place and location of whatever the program problem
is.

Taking offers or trades, reasonable ones of course...

P94ZRC90C2AA Radio, 2004 datecode battery, antenna, charger, PLUS:

Brand new leather holster with DTMF cutaway and D-loop, quick release.
MOTOROLA brand.
Brand new DTMF front with electronics.
Brand new 2-button front, no speaker or mic, buttons included.
Some sort of curse.

thanks,
Randy
