I have a 1 year old VX-2R for sale. It's in excellent shape,
being used by a non smoker/non drinker. The rig comes in
it's own original box with all original packaging. Added to
the deal are the following:

Comet SMA-24 high performance antenna
Pryme RD-8 Speaker Microphone

Also, The power cord has a mod - I soldered in a RCA
connector system so you can hook up the power cord
to the factory wall wart or to a Radio Shack 4x AA
battery case. The case (unknown P/N) holds 4 - AA
batteries and has a cover and on/off switch. Case is
included, of course.

With this case you can buy a 4 pack of AA batteries at
any convienence store and either charge the VX-2R's
internal Li-Ion battery or run the radio at 3w output
(2w on 446) or both! Of course you can also plug into
the charger or any 6v source that has a female RCA
connector on it's output.

Unlike other radios, you don't have to shell out big
bucks if you want another battery - this rig uses the
common Fuji NP-60 camera battery which puts out
1,100 ma @ 3.7v and can be found on eBay for about
$2-3.

The stock antenna is included but I've found the
Comet SMA-24 works wonders - I've had simplex 2
meter QSO's out to 30 miles with it. HF performance
is great, too. I've owned all the VX series radios and
the VX-2R has by far the best HF reciever of them all.

I'm also including a Pryme speaker mic - I think it's an
RD-8 but I'm not sure except that it works very well.

Total package cost me $250.00 to assemble. I'm
