Alpha was sold to another small electronics company in Colorado. They moved up the road apiece. Now all of their manufacturing is done in the U.S. as Alpha Power. The factory sells direct. The folks in Bulgaria who made the 91Bs now make Acom amps, I believe. Bob k5qwg |

Thanks all for your replys! I server will not load that
website. A bud of mine at work says alpha priced themselves out of the market! $7K for a new amp? thats out of mind! not very practical for todays standards. I remember when a friend loaned me his homebrew amp with a pr of 813's and we thought were on top of the world! Guess, I will keep the 30L-1 for a little while longer! Kipper/......... |

It uses three 3-500Z tubes. The tubes are new and only have about an hour of run time on them. The LK-550 prefers 220 VAC, but will operate on a dedicated 120 circuit at reduced power. Real amplifiers aren't cheap!
