Alpha was sold to another small electronics company in Colorado. They
moved up the road apiece. Now all of their manufacturing is done in
the U.S. as Alpha Power. The factory sells direct.

The folks in Bulgaria who made the 91Bs now make Acom amps, I believe.

Thanks all for your replys! I server will not load that
website. A bud of mine at work says alpha priced
themselves out of the market!
$7K for a new amp? thats out of mind! not very
practical for todays standards.

I remember when a friend loaned me his homebrew amp with a
pr of 813's and we thought were on top of the world!

Guess, I will keep the 30L-1 for a little while longer!

I know of a local ham that will sell you an Amp Supply LK-550
for $1800.00. It uses three 3-500Z tubes. The tubes are new
and only have about an hour of run time on them. The LK-550
prefers 220 VAC, but will operate on a dedicated 120 circuit
at reduced power. Real amplifiers aren't cheap!
