I have to disagree with the "anyone else" part of that.

CB'ers, with their flouting of the law and childish behavior have
brought disrespect toward *all* private radio operators, including
fully licensed and legal hams. It's not as bad now as it was a few
years ago, but the stain still remains. Establishing the Citizens Band
was the worst mistake the FCC ever made, bar none.

Ever listen to 75-80 meters?? Sometimes there isnt
a nickels worth of difference beween that and 11 meters.
I gave up on the band.
